Gentle Release

Release that holds — so your body can follow what your mind already knows.

Gentle Release is a short, focused form of embodied emotional support for people who struggle to let go of possessions, homes, or material attachments — not because they don’t understand what needs to change, but because their nervous system isn’t ready to release.

This is not physical decluttering, organising, or crisis support.
It is especially suitable when emotional attachment, identity, grief, or a sense of safety are bound up with possessions or spaces.

This is grounded, embodied work that supports:

* nervous system regulation

* emotional safety and self-trust

* identity and what objects represent

* releasing attachment without overwhelm or force

Often, possessions are not the problem.
They are stabilisers — holding memory, loss, guilt, longing, loyalty, safety, or identity.

Gentle Release can be especially helpful when:

* insight is present, but release hasn’t happened

* practical solutions feel impossible to sustain

* letting go triggers anxiety, guilt, shutdown, or collapse

* you feel stuck between wanting change and not being able to move

Support is offered at a respectful pace through conversation, felt experience, and gentle guidance — helping your body catch up with what your mind already knows.

If this resonates, you’re welcome to enquire and we can explore whether Gentle Release is right for you at this time.

Professionals are also welcome to get in touch to discuss whether this may support a client.

Helen Mills — Gentle Release

“I’m not interested in quick fixes that fade. I focus on the kind of release that helps your body catch up with what your mind already knows — so you can let go, reconnect with yourself, and move forward with clarity.”
